Melissa Moriarty
Gast completed her undergraduate studies
at Ohio University, where she graduated Cum Laude
with a Bachelor of Science in Communication degree
in 2000. She then earned her Juris Doctor
degree in 2003 from Capital University Law School,
where she also graduated Cum Laude. Prior to
joining the firm, Ms. Gast served as staff attorney
for The Honorable Kim A. Browne in the Franklin
County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic
Relations and Juvenile Branch. As staff
attorney for Judge Browne, Ms. Gast gained a wealth
of courtroom experience and developed invaluable,
ongoing relationships with many of the judges and
attorneys throughout the community. She was
also responsible for researching complex domestic
and juvenile litigation issues and drafting court
decisions after receiving direction from and
collaborating closely with Judge Browne. The focus
of Ms. Gast’s practice is in the area of Family Law,
which includes practicing in domestic and juvenile
courts throughout the State of Ohio, and includes
providing legal representation for divorce,
dissolution, child custody, parentage, child support
and post-decree matters. [
