The Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (OACDL) seeks to inform and better equip defense attorneys through its annual Advanced DUI Defense Seminar & Trial Skills Academy . This year’s event was held March 12-14, and numerous expert presenters were invited to speak about the defense of breathalyzer machine evidence.
Attorney Jon Saia was asked to serve as one of the 2015 seminar’s expert presenters and shared his insight during three sessions. He presented on the topics of “Obtaining and Reviewing Videos in OVI/DUI Cases” and “Standardized Field Sobriety Testing at Hearings & Trials”. Attorney Saia also served as an instructor for the Trial Skills Academy, which allowed attendees to learn styles of cross-examination during practical exercises during breakout sessions.
The OACDL’s mission is to inform, educate, train, and foster a sense of community for Ohio’s criminal defense community. The organization frequently holds seminars and other events to further advance and strengthen the defense abilities of attorneys across the state.
