Attorney Jon Saia has recently renewed his membership in the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD). The organization focuses on protecting the rights of defendants in DUI cases and improving their ability to fight their charges.
Attorney Saia has taken all the necessary steps to remain at the forefront of DUI and OVI defense, including recently completing training on one of the breath testing units used in Ohio, the Intoxilizer 8000, as well as in Gas Chromotography and Metrology. He is also fully trained by National Patent Analytical Systems, Inc. in the operation, diagnostic verification and calibration of the manufacturer’s BAC Datamaster unit. Mr. Saia has also been trained in the operation of the Intoxilyzer 5000.
Attorney Saia’s membership in the NCDD as well as his ongoing education on all facets of the science behind DUI defense enables him to look deeply into the evidence brought against his clients and find holes in their cases, so that he can aggressively fight the prosecutor’s allegations.
There are few defense lawyers who possess Attorney Saia’s same level of understanding of all facets of DUI cases, in particular the science behind BAC testing and the many ways that false readings can occur. Without this extensive knowledge of how the units operate, there is no chance to successfully challenge the evidence presented by the prosecutor. Fortunately, Attorney Saia’s ongoing training and heavy involvement in DUI/OVI defense, as a lawyer and educator of other legal professionals, gives his clients an edge in fighting their felony and misdemeanor DUI/OVI charges.
